Meet Spice, an adorable 8-lb, 9 week old terrier mix who is ready to find her forever home! Will be ready to go into a foster to adopt on March 10th. Background: Spice and her brother Navi were rescued from a home that just had too many dogs and weren't able to give these two the proper care they needed. Personality: Spice is a fun and feisty little girl - a typical puppy! She loves to play with toys and other dogs before napping in her foster parent's lap. Health: Spice has been dewormed and received her first and second distemper/parvo vaccine, her Bordetella vaccine and she has been microchipped. Our rescue will pay for her remaining puppy vaccines and her spay scheduled at our vet location. Training: As a young puppy, Spice is still learning the ropes. She is pretty much potty-trained to use the doggy door during the day (with supervision) but at night still needs a potty pad in her kennel area. Remember puppies can only hold their bladders for a few hours! Like any dog, she will need to learn your routine with constant, positive training on your part. Ideal Home: Spice will thrive in just about any type of home where she can get plenty of love, attention, and general socialization. Spice gets along well with other small dogs and would enjoy a furry friend to play with. Spice will need a fenced in yard so get all her puppy energy out. Her adoption fee of $350 helps offset the cost of the above medical expenses. If you live in the Phoenix metro area and can meet the appointment schedule outlined here, please complete an application at: www.helpadogsmile.org/adoption-application. **Please note that the application is not a commitment to adopt; it is a tool used to help determine if a dog and applicant would make a good match.
