Meet Butter - a big, lovable boy with an even bigger personality! Butter is a laid-back, go-with-the-flow kind of guy. He's not too concerned with chasing tennis balls and would much rather park himself next to you and soak up all the butt scratches you're willing to give (and trust us, he will happily collect them all). He already knows "sit," "catch," and "here!" He does enjoy playing with stuffies and is also a big fan of walks! Weighing in at about 120 pounds, Butter is currently on his "better without butter" health journey and will need a home committed to helping him stay on track - think controlled meals, gentle exercise, and lots of encouragement along the way. In return, you'll get a loyal, easygoing companion who's as comforting as your favorite snack. Butter is smooth, a little soft around the edges, and guaranteed to melt your heart. He has shown to be dog friendly and while we have not officially cat tested him yet, we have been told that he has lived with a feline friend in the past. With the right family, Butter is sure to spread joy everywhere he goes... no bread required! Butter's adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccinations and preventatives, plus a free basic training class at Cedar Run #2 in Hiawatha. Last Hope requires that all animals be kept as indoor only pets and that adopters have a history of keeping their pets altered and current on vaccines, wellness exams, and preventative care. If you would like to meet Butter, please submit an adoption application on our website, Adopthope.org.
