From Passed Around to Hoping for Forever Meet COOPER This sweet boy was originally adopted from GCAS, but sadly his story didn't end there. He reportedly kept escaping after doors were left open by kids, and instead of working through it, he was given away to a neighbor. After some time, the neighbor said they could no longer care for him either. A kind mail carrier noticed him day after day and was told he would be taken to the shelter… and instead, stepped in and brought him to South Jersey Rescue! When he arrived, he was in rough shape—severely matted, underweight. We got him to the groomer, and underneath it all is the sweetest little soul. ✨ About him: • Around 1.5 years old • ~13 lbs • Very affectionate and loving• Dog friendly • Has shown some barking toward men in the home (likely fear-based), but did great with the groomer Despite everything he's been through, he just wants love. You can see how much he wants to trust again. We're looking for a patient, understanding home that will give him the stability he's never had.
