Introducing Winston! Not much is known about Winston's past, and he's chosen to keep it that way - so he remains a bit of a mystery. What we do know is that he's a charming, distinguished older gentleman with a big personality packed into a compact frame. If you love the classic English Bulldog attitude but prefer it in a smaller size, Winston could be your perfect match. At just 46 Ibs, he's a pint sized bulldog with a whole lot of character! Winston could be best described as a man-child who refuses to grow up. He approaches life with enthusiasm and curiosity, especially when it comes to investigating his surroundings (and occasionally rearranging them.) If you enjoy an active, entertaining companion who keeps things interesting, Winston will happily oblige. He has strong opinions about dog beds - mostly that they're unnecessary - and prefers his space to be just the way he likes it. He's also very passionate about games and likes to play by his own rules. When things don't go his way... be prepared for a "mantrum!" Winston would do best in a home without cats and prefers calm, easygoing dogs who respect his boundaries as he likes to be the one in charge. Because of his enthusiasm and strength, Winston would be best suited for a home with older children (12+) who understand how to give him space and interact respectfully. If you're looking for a fun, confident companion with a big personality and a sense of humor, Winston may be just the dog you've been waiting for. He's not perfect - but he's perfectly Winston. Winston's adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccinations and preventatives, plus a free basic training course at Cedar Run #2 in Hiawatha. Winston is seeking an indoor only home with adopters that have a history of having kept their pets altered, indoors, and current on wellness exams, vaccinations, and preventative care. If you would like to meet Winston, please submit an adoption application on our website, Adopthope.org. Our adoption process includes a background check, vet history check, and a home visit.
