This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $200 if picked up in TN, $275 plus transport fee for out of state adoptions. Meet Ahava, a Jack Russell terrier mix who greets life like every moment is worth celebrating. At almost five years old and weighing 23.5 pounds, Ahava is pure joy in motion. She loves running zoomies in big circles around whoever is with her, and she genuinely looks like happiness itself while she does it. She gets excited every time her person walks through the door, and she loves wrestling around on the floor and curling up on the couch once her energy winds down. Sometimes she will even grab a squeaky toy and settle in next to you for TV time. Ahava knows sit and down, and she is fully housetrained. She has not been crate trained yet. On leash she can be a bit of a puller, since she would much rather stretch her legs and run free, so a home with a big fenced in yard where she can really let loose would suit her well. She tends to get a little nervous during car rides. Ahava previously lived with a cat and did fine, and her original foster home included other dogs, so she is comfortable sharing her space. She also does well with children and strangers alike. She lost her previous owner and has been adjusting since, carrying her sweetness with her through the transition. The right home for Ahava is one with a spacious fenced yard and someone ready to run, play, and match her enthusiasm for the outdoors. She would especially love a family with kids to play with. If you have the space and energy to keep up with a dog who radiates joy, Ahava would love to meet you.
