Forever home wanted, meet Ollie! Ollie came into the Long Beach shelter as a stray on 12/28 with no identification and no known owner. The shelter reached out to us asking if we could possibly make room for this special little guy. When we saw his pictures and videos, we were excited and happy they reached out to us so we would make sure this little guy is safe and lands a perfect forever home. While his front legs look wonky, we've had experience with this before and it is totally correctable with no huge medical intervention. Ollie's case is very mild compared with the case we dealt with previously so we are hopeful he will have normal looking legs in no time. Our previous case was diagnosed as puppy carpal laxity syndrome. The most common causes are poor nutrition, lacking in a good diet of high-quality puppy food confinement in small spaces at early stages of growth. Treatment was lots of exercise, an improved diet of high-quality puppy food and some vitamin supplements. We're moving forward with this same protocol as Ollie is playful, loving, happy, pain free and has a great appetite. Ollie is super affectionate, wanting to shower everyone he meets with kisses. He is super cuddly and loves to snuggle. Ollie is in a foster home which helps in watching his progress and learning more about his temperament and personality. If you are interested in meeting Ollie, please head over to labradorsandfriends.org to fill out an application. Ollie is located in Southern California.
