Meet Little Mack! ❤️ This sweet, lovable boy is searching for a forever family who will appreciate his unique personality, support his needs, and include him in all of life's best adventures! Mack is potty trained
, which makes him a wonderful companion for the right home. He enjoys having a routine and loves going on daily walks. While he is not yet the perfect leash walker, his foster family is continuing to work with him. Mack's new family should be willing to remain patient, consistent, and encouraging as he continues learning. With time and positive reinforcement, he can keep making progress and become an even better walking buddy. Because Mack enjoys having space to explore and would benefit from safely burning off some energy, he needs a securely fenced yard
. A fenced yard would give him a safe place to stretch his legs, sniff around, play, and enjoy the outdoors without the added pressure of being on a leash all the time. Mack can be a little timid when new people are around. He may need some time to feel comfortable and understand that he is safe. Once he has had a chance to warm up, his sweet personality begins to shine. His new family should be prepared to let him approach people at his own pace and give him the patience and reassurance he needs. Mack is also quite vocal and can bark frequently, so a home that is understanding of his talkative nature would be the best fit for him. At night, Mack is absolutely adorable. He sleeps like a human being, curled up comfortably on a pillow all night long! He would love a cozy spot where he can relax and feel like part of the family. Mack does not do well in a kennel, so a traditional crate is not the best option for him. When you are away from home, he will need to be safely kept in a closed-off area or in his playpen. Without a secure space, Mack may get into things around the house. Providing him with a comfortable, dog-proof area will help keep him safe and prevent him from getting into trouble while you are gone. This special boy is also an incredible traveler and loves going wherever his people are headed! ️ Mack enjoys boating, ice fishing, camping, and long car rides. He would be thrilled to have a family who wants to include him in outdoor activities and make him part of their adventures. Whether he is relaxing at the campsite, riding along for a long trip, or enjoying time on the water, Mack is happiest when he is included. And, of course, he absolutely loves pup cups! There are a few important care requirements to keep in mind before applying to adopt Mack. He needs to have his teeth cleaned every six months, and he must eat soft food only
. He cannot have hard food, hard treats, or anything that could be difficult for him to chew. His future family will need to be committed to following these dietary and dental-care guidelines to help keep him healthy and comfortable. Little Mack is a wonderful, affectionate, and entertaining boy who has so much love to give. He may need a little patience as he adjusts and continues working on his manners, but he has many wonderful qualities that make him truly special. His ideal family will understand his needs, appreciate his big personality, provide him with structure, and make him a cherished part of the family. If you are looking for a loyal companion who will happily join you on road trips, outdoor adventures, relaxing evenings, and everything in between, Little Mack may be the perfect match for you! ❤️ Could you be the loving forever family he has been waiting for? Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter's expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***
