Meet This Sweet Mama named Yardley ❤️ This beautiful girl came into my care after having her kittens in someone's backyard. She was a wonderful mama, and all of her babies have now found their forever homes. Now it's her turn — although apparently she has decided she needs to thoroughly interview all potential humans before making any commitments. She's a shy, cautious girl who is still figuring out this whole "trusting people" thing. She has never bitten or scratched me, but touch her in the wrong place and she will look at you like you've personally ruined her entire life. She does have a soft side, though! She especially likes my husband and will rub all over him like he's the greatest man she's ever met. Apparently, I did not make the short list. ‍♀️ I truly believe she's just overwhelmed by having so many animals around her. She hasn't really had the quiet, one-on-one environment where she can relax and figure out that humans aren't so bad. I think in a quieter home, with someone patient who lets her come around at her own pace, she could really blossom. She may never be the cat who runs across the room yelling, "MOMMY!" and jumps into your lap on day one — but I think there's a very sweet girl underneath that suspicious little exterior. She raised her babies, watched every single one of them find a home, and now she's waiting for someone to choose her. She doesn't need to be perfect. She just needs someone who understands that sometimes love looks like sitting nearby and waiting patiently while your new cat decides whether you're worthy. ❤️ Her babies got their happily-ever-after. Now it's Mama's turn. Yardley is tested, spayed, vaccinated, and micro-chipped. Her estimated birth ate is 2/15/2025 and her adoption fee is $160.
